Overview: This highly visible position requires the Community Development Director build alliances and collaborative partnerships with outside agencies, regional government entities, and business interests. This leader is responsible for maintaining positive and productive relationships with customers, city leaders, elected officials, and community representatives regarding community development, planning, and building.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in economic development, business or public administration, marketing, urban planning, community development, political science, or a related field; five years of progressively responsible experience in applying the principles of economic development, planning, land use, and municipal financing; a demonstrated track record of establishing collaborative relationships with business partners, community organizations, and key city officials in building a strong and vibrant business community.
